be brave don’t shave

30th June, 2011 by Lisa Campbell

On the same day thousands of public sector workers went on strike across the country, a group of brazen women were snapped staging a political protest of their own—demanding that Bush be reinstated.

They weren’t calling for a return to power of the former US president, but the comeback of the un-pruned ladygarden to the female body.

The protestors held placards reading “Bring back the Bush!” and “Be Brave Don’t Shave!” while chanting “Keep the Brazilians in Brazil, Hollywoods in Hollywood. Nice, natural hair, down there!” to lunchtime shoppers near London’s Covent Garden.

The protest precedes a campaign by women’s health magazine Top Sante, to launch next Tuesday, aiming to argue women shouldn’t feel under pressure to shave their nether-regions to fit in with modern society.

Thanks for the pic and story. Check out the video of the day, going viral next Tuesday. And come along to the main event on the same day, 12.30 outside Covent Garden tube!

i hate the fetish for a hairless pubic area- its worryingly prepubescent, childlike.

At last! I’ve resisted the bizarre trend for minge topiary for years and am so glad others are too.
